BARQA Membership

BARQA Membership is open to all those involved in Research Quality Assurance and to those working with, or interested in, Good Laboratory, Clinical or Manufacturing Practice Regulations, be they from industry, government, academia or contract research and wherever in the world they are based.

There are four categories of membership as described below. Each application, whatever the status, needs to be sponsored. If this is difficult for a new member then the BARQA office is always on hand to assist.

What will it cost?

Applicants pay a one off administration fee with the amount dependent on the membership status applied for. An annual subscription is payable and falls due on 1st January each year. Those applying to join the Association for the first time between 1st September and 31st December need pay the administration fee only. They will be asked to pay an annual subscription the following 1st January.

 Affiliate or Associate  £52 GB Pounds
 Member    £62 GB Pounds
 Outside the UK  
 Affiliate or Associate   £59 GB Pounds
 Member  £70 GB Pounds

Annual Subscription (2010)

UK Based   £62 GB Pounds
Outside the UK  £74 GB Pounds.


Fees and subscriptions are exempt from VAT and are deductible against UK Income Tax.

Membership Categories

Affiliate

Affiliate status is open to those who show a constructive interest in quality compatible with the objects of the Association but who do not qualify for any of the other membership grades.

Applications should be supported by a Member or Fellow of the Association.

Associate

Associate membership is open to those actively involved in the quality and integrity of scientific research and development.

There are no specific academic qualifications or experience requirements for entry to Associate Membership.

Member

Membership is open to those who, upon submission of an application can demonstrate:

Members of BARQA may use the letters MRQA after their name.

Senior

Senior Member status is open to those who reach 60 years of age and have been members of the Association for a minimum of five years.
